Delivery, impressions, and clicks

Understand Pushrr campaign metrics, why subscriber count is not the same as impressions, and how clicks are counted.

Delivery, impressions, and clicks

Pushrr reports multiple metrics because browser push delivery has several stages.

Metric definitions

MetricMeaning
SubscribersBrowser/device subscriptions saved in Pushrr.
Active subscribersSubscribers currently eligible for normal sends.
SentNotifications handed to the push delivery service.
FailedSends that could not be delivered or were rejected.
ImpressionsNotifications displayed or reported as shown.
ClicksNotification or action-button clicks tracked by Pushrr.
UnsubscribesSubscribers detected as no longer reachable or opted out.

Paused campaigns

When a live campaign is paused, Pushrr stops sending remaining pending and retryable notifications. Any notifications already accepted by browser push services may still appear on shopper devices and may still report impressions or clicks.

When the campaign is resumed, Pushrr continues the remaining eligible sends. This means paused campaigns should be read as "delivery stopped from this point forward," not as a recall of already accepted notifications.

Why delivery rate is not 100%

Not every subscriber will produce an impression. Common reasons:

  • The browser endpoint expired.
  • The subscriber blocked notifications.
  • The device was offline.
  • The push provider rejected the endpoint.
  • The browser did not report a display event.
  • The subscriber no longer matches the selected audience.

Why sends can be lower than subscribers

Campaigns usually target active eligible subscribers. Total subscriber count can include unsubscribed, inactive, historical, or non-matching subscribers.

Click tracking

Pushrr tracks clicks when a subscriber opens the notification or supported action button. Clicks are associated with the campaign or automation where possible.

How to read campaign performance

Use metrics together:

  • Sent shows attempted reach.
  • Impressions show visible notifications.
  • Clicks show engagement.
  • Recoveries or revenue show downstream business impact when attribution is available.

Do not compare only subscriber count to revenue. Push impact depends on audience quality, browser reachability, offer strength, and timing.

Subscribers and statuses

Understand how Pushrr records subscribers, statuses, browser details, location, and unsubscribe behavior.

Revenue attribution

Understand how Pushrr connects clicks and recovery activity to Shopify outcomes and why numbers can differ from other analytics tools.
