Connect Pushrr to a Shopify store so campaigns, subscribers, carts, and recovery automations can use store events.
Install Pushrr on Shopify
Pushrr connects to Shopify through the Shopify OAuth installation flow. The connection lets Pushrr receive store events, reconcile cart and checkout activity, and activate storefront web push setup.
Before you start
- Use a Shopify store where you can install apps.
- Sign in to Pushrr with the same email you want associated with the workspace.
- Add the real Shopify storefront URL before starting installation.
Store URL matters
The Shopify install button needs a Shopify store domain. If Pushrr cannot resolve the store from the saved site URL, update the URL in site settings before trying again.
Install steps
Open Pushrr and go to the onboarding page or setup area.
Enter your Shopify storefront URL, for example https://your-store.myshopify.com or your primary store domain.
Click Install Shopify app or Connect Shopify app.
Approve the Shopify permission screen.
Return to Pushrr and confirm the Shopify connection appears as active.
What Pushrr uses Shopify for
- Cart and checkout abandonment recovery.
- Storefront service worker support for direct web push setup.
- Webhook events for orders, carts, checkouts, and app uninstall handling.
- Recovery URLs and product details used in automation notifications.
If installation fails
Check the saved site URL first. Pushrr returns this error when it cannot determine the Shopify domain:
Could not determine Shopify store domain. Ensure your site URL points to a Shopify storefront.Fix the URL, save site settings, then start Shopify installation again.
Uninstall behavior
If the app is uninstalled from Shopify, Pushrr records that the Shopify connection is no longer active. Existing Pushrr account data is not automatically deleted by uninstalling the app. See Privacy and data for data handling notes.
