This guide explains the expected review path for Shopify App Store testing.

Test account

Use the test account and store details provided in the Shopify Partner Dashboard submission. Do not use Google single sign-on for review unless the submission specifically provides it.

Review flow

Open Pushrr and sign in with the provided test account.

Complete the approval or onboarding screen if the test workspace requires it.

Add or confirm the Shopify storefront URL.

Click Install Shopify app and approve the Shopify permission screen.

Return to Pushrr and confirm the dashboard shows the store connection.

Open the storefront and allow browser notifications from a supported browser.

Confirm the subscriber appears in Pushrr.

Create a campaign draft or test notification.

Review abandoned cart or checkout automation setup.

Privacy webhook readiness

Pushrr implements handlers for Shopify's mandatory privacy topics:

  • customers/data_request
  • customers/redact
  • shop/redact

Before submitting the app, confirm these compliance webhook topics are subscribed in Shopify app configuration or the Partner Dashboard and point to Pushrr's Shopify webhook endpoint. Shopify requires public apps to acknowledge these webhooks and complete request or redaction work within 30 days unless legal retention obligations apply.

Expected browser behavior

Web push permission prompts are controlled by the browser. If notifications are blocked in browser settings, Pushrr cannot show the native permission dialog until permission is reset.

Notes for app review

Pushrr should not ask merchants to generate VAPID keys. Pushrr prepares web push keys automatically and keeps existing keys stable.

If the review account lands on an approval screen, use the review instructions from the Partner Dashboard submission to continue with the approved test workspace.
